All CloudRadio services are billed in USD.
How Billing Works
CloudRadio uses usage-based billing with a monthly cap. Here’s how it works:
- Services are billed by the hour based on actual usage
- Hourly charges accumulate until they reach the monthly cap
- Once the monthly cap is reached, you pay no more for that service that month
- This gives you predictable billing while only paying for what you use
Billing is done in arrears - you pay at the end of the month for the services you used during that month.
Radio Hosting Plans
You can customize your plan from 10 to 1,000 simultaneous listeners (slots) per radio. Your capacity is reserved exclusively for your radio. When the limit is reached, new listeners cannot connect until a slot becomes available.
Each slot is billed at $0.0003/hour up to a monthly cap of $0.20/slot.
Pricing Table
| Plan | Hourly Rate | Monthly Cap |
|---|---|---|
| 10 slots | $0.003/hr | $2/mo |
| 25 slots | $0.0075/hr | $5/mo |
| 50 slots | $0.015/hr | $10/mo |
| 100 slots | $0.03/hr | $20/mo |
| 200 slots | $0.06/hr | $40/mo |
| 500 slots | $0.15/hr | $100/mo |
| 1000 slots | $0.30/hr | $200/mo |
Billing Cycle
Invoices are generated on the 1st of each month for the previous month’s usage. For example, usage from January 1-31 is invoiced on February 1st (the invoice is dated January 31st for accounting purposes).
| Day | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 1st | Invoice generated for previous month’s usage, payment attempted |
| 3rd | First reminder if balance is due |
| 7th | Second payment reminder |
| 9th | Third payment reminder |
| 10th | Services suspended for overdue accounts |
| 25th | Data permanently deleted if unpaid for 15 days after suspension |
Important: Keep your billing contact information up to date and monitor your account balance to avoid service interruption.

Partial Month Billing
Since billing is hourly, you only pay for the time your radio exists.
Example: You create a 100-slot radio on January 15th at noon and destroy it on January 20th at noon:
- You’re billed for exactly 120 hours (5 days × 24 hours)
- Cost: 120 hours × $0.03/hr = $3.60
Example: You create a 100-slot radio on January 15th and keep it through the end of the month:
- January 15-31 = 408 hours × $0.03/hr = $12.24
- You pay $12.24 (not the full $20 monthly cap, since you didn’t have the radio for the full month)
