About Studio
What is Studio?
Studio is the new CloudRadio platform, built from the ground up to replace the legacy Console. It features:
- Faster, more reliable streaming with Docker-based radio infrastructure
- Modern, intuitive interface for managing your radios
- Real-time analytics for listener insights
- Secure, password-free login using magic links
- Enterprise-grade billing with transparent pricing and detailed invoicing
All of your existing radios have been automatically migrated to Studio. You don’t need to do anything—just log in and start using it.
Is Console being shut down?
Yes. As of January 15, 2026, the legacy Console is no longer available to regular users. All customers have been migrated to Studio.
If you were using Console before, don’t worry—your account, radios, configuration, and billing history have all been moved to Studio automatically.
What happened to my Console account?
Your Console account has been migrated to Studio. You have a new account in Studio with:
- The same email address
- All of your radios (already running)
- All of your billing history and invoices
- Your account balance
You can now log in to Studio using the same email address.
Logging In
How do I log in to Studio?
- Go to studio.cloudrad.io
- Click Sign In
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a magic link
- Click the link in the email to log in
You don’t need a password. Magic links are a secure, modern way to log in that eliminates forgotten passwords and password reuse. If you still want a password, you can still set one.
I don’t see the magic link email. What should I do?
Check your spam/junk folder first. Magic link emails sometimes get filtered.
If you still don’t see it:
- Go back to the Studio login page
- Click Sign In again and re-enter your email
- A new magic link will be sent within 30 seconds
- This magic link is valid for 24 hours
If you’re still having trouble, contact support and we’ll help you log in.
Why doesn’t my old Console password work?
Studio uses a modern, password-free authentication system. Your Console password is no longer used for security reasons.
Instead, you’ll receive a magic link via email each time you log in. Magic links are:
- More secure (no password to guess or reuse)
- More convenient (no forgetting passwords)
- Industry standard (used by Google, GitHub, Slack, etc.)
Can I set a password?
Yes, in your account settings after logging in with a magic link you can set a password if you prefer to use one. However, we recommend continuing to use magic links for better security.
How long do magic links last?
Magic links are valid for 24 hours from when they’re sent. If your link expires, just request a new one on the login page.

Web Player & Widgets
What happened to my old player/embed code?
Your old Console player and embed code will continue to work indefinitely. There’s no rush to change anything.
However, we’ve built a brand new web player with significant improvements:
New Player Features:
- Automatic album art fetching and display
- Live metadata support (song title, artist, now playing)
- Modern, responsive design that looks great on mobile and desktop
- Better streaming stability and performance
- Dark mode support
- Customizable colors and sizing
Should I upgrade to the new player?
Yes, we recommend upgrading for:
- Better user experience — Automatic album art, live metadata, modern UI
- Improved stability — Built on modern web standards
- Mobile optimization — Works perfectly on phones and tablets
- Future features — New improvements will only be added to the new player
Your old player will continue to work, but won’t receive new features or improvements.
How do I upgrade to the new player?
For Web Embedding:
- Log in to Studio
- Go to Players in the main menu
- Select or create a player configuration
- Copy the Embed Code
- Replace the old code on your website with the new code
That’s it! Your new player will be live immediately.
Can I customize the player appearance?
Yes! The new player comes with 6 different design styles to match your brand and website:
- Bar — Compact horizontal player bar. Perfect for sticky headers and footers.
- Box — Modern card-style player with artwork focus. Ideal for sidebars.
- Mini — Ultra-compact player button. Perfect for minimal embeds.
- Vinyl — Retro vinyl record player with spinning animation.
- Cassette — Nostalgic cassette tape design with retro controls.
- Cyber — Futuristic cyberpunk-inspired player. Customize with neon colors by selecting vibrant primary colors.
All designs are free to use.
You can also customize each design with:
- Custom colors — Match your brand
- Light/Dark mode — Auto-detect based on your website’s theme
- Theme options — Adjust opacity, shadows, and styling
To customize:
- Log in to Studio
- Go to Players in the main menu
- Select or create a player configuration
- Click Customize to adjust colors, design, and themes
- Copy the updated embed code
What if I want to keep using the old player?
That’s fine! Your old embed code will continue to work indefinitely. However:
- Limited features — As we shut down legacy infrastructure, we’ll remove album art and may limit other functionality
- No new improvements — New features will only be added to the new player
- Future reliability — As legacy systems are decommissioned, the old player may become less reliable
We strongly recommend upgrading to the new player when you have time. The new player has better stability and will keep getting new features and improvements.
