Block a Listener

1 min read Last updated: October 08, 2026

You can block a single player, such as a stream ripper or a bot, from your stream. A block is tied to that player on that IP address, so other people on the same network keep listening.

Blocking is available on CloudRadio One and Custom plans, to the owner and station managers.

Block a player

  1. Go to Statistics in the left sidebar.
  2. In Active sessions, find the listener. Choose Needs attention to see only flagged sessions. When there are more sessions than fit, click View all to open the full list.
  3. Click Block on the listener's row.
  4. Check the address and player in Block this listener?, then click Block listener.

The player is disconnected within a minute and refused when it tries again, on HLS and ICY. The block survives reconnecting.

Flags

The live listeners list flags sessions that may need a look:

  • Stream ripper: a known recording tool.
  • Past 8 h limit (or your limit): a session longer than your maximum listening session.
  • 3 from this IP (or another count): several players on one address.

Unblock a player

Go to Settings > Listener protection. The Blocked listeners card lists every block with the address, the player, the reason, and when and by whom it was blocked. Click Unblock on the row.
